Tuvugane is the fastest growing North American Burundian Community of youth who are defying all odds to empower each other for community development.
Tuvugane is a networking platform led by Burundian-American young professionals that are advance contributions toward the development of Burundian communities globally, foster coexistence, and preserve Burundian culture and the Kirundi language.

One of the organization’s flagship programs is our annual awards ceremony aimed at celebrating accomplishments of Burundian-American youth. This year, the event will take place in Louisville, KY on May 27 - 28.

The Burundian-American community, through its networking platform "Tuvugane" is gearing up for an exciting event that celebrates the achievements of the Burundian diaspora in North America. Co-hosted by award-winning singer and actress Aiza from Netflix's "Jupiter's Legacy" and "Workin' Moms," this year's Tuvugane Awards ceremony promises to be a vibrant and memorable occasion. The event will feature performances by the amazing drummers from "Black Panther," who will showcase the richness and diversity of Burundian culture.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to connect with other professionals over a delicious networking brunch. The brunch will feature Hamissi Mamba - Food Network's "Chopped" winner and owner of "Baobab Fare" in Detroit, who will be sharing insights on his entrepreneurial journey. Additionally, Burundian developer, Fablice Manirakiza, who built the first-ever gated community in Burundi, will share his inspiring story of community development.

"We are thrilled to be joined by talented and gifted individuals from across the world to celebrate the many successes of the Burundian-American community," said Tuvugane President Amos Izerimana.

"This event is a testament to the resilience and strength of our community, and we are excited to recognize and honor those who have made significant contributions this year."
